Whatever the cause, you can find a ribbon that by its color denotes the individual’s support of that cause. By wearing a ribbon on your clothing, you are signifying that you are aware of the disease and are a part of the awareness campaign. Whether by giving money, merchandise, your time, or wearing the ribbon, you are helping to make a difference in the life of someone affected by multiple sclerosis.
Not everybody is the same and because multiple sclerosis affects each individual in so many different ways, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society will adopt the “MS Ribbon of Hope” to represent multiple sclerosis. This ribbon changes colors with movement, light or position.
The changing colors of the ribbon signify that multiple sclerosis is an ever changing and unpredictable disease seen in different lights and different ways but is ever constant.
The changing colors also indicate the ever-changing movement of the Mid South Chapter. We make to meet the needs of people with MS as we continue to work to end the devastating effects of MS.
The “MS Ribbon of Hope” also reminds us that the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is one thing that people with MS can always count on.
