Company HistoryTexas Hill Country Covers was started in September 2003 by Charla Putnam. It originally began in Tennessee as MidSouth Cane Covers and after relocating in October of 2004, the name was changed to Texas Hill Country Covers. Charla was diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in November 2000. She is a member of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and an active fundraiser. She participated in the MS Walk 2001-2004.
Our MissionOur mission at Texas Hill Country Covers is to offer a fun and interesting alternative for those who use canes while at the same time raising awareness about Multiple Sclerosis and offering links for support and information. One possible eventuality for people diagnosed with MS is that someday they may have to use a cane. Let's face it, canes are not the most attractive medical devises out there. People are going to stare. Give them something to stare at! If you have to use a cane, then why not have as much fun with it as you can? If you would like more information about Multiple Sclerosis, please visit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society website, or call 1-800-FIGHT MS. If you would like to make a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, please click on this link. It will take you to the official NMSS Lone Star Chapter donation page.
